Thomas Slowik, 65, of Westport passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Cheryl A. (Duckett) Slowik.
Born in Acushnet, he was son of the late Frank S. and Emily B. (Klecha) Slowik. He was a Communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, Westport. Mr. Slowik worked at Fall River Manufacturing for 28 years.
Including his wife, survivors include a step-son: Brian Furtado and his wife Kimberly of NC; his beloved sister and best friend: Patricia "Pat" Monteiro of New Bedford; 2 brothers: Stephen Slowik of New Bedford and Edwin Slowik of CA; brother-in-law: Dino Mello; 2 grandchildren: Peyton and Bryson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was brother of the late: Janice Mello and brother-in-law of the late Fernando Monteiro.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, October 1, 2018 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 10 AM.
Calling hours Sunday 3-6 PM.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
