Died Wednesday at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fall River, MA. Son of the late John C. Nordeste Sr. and the late Mary (Estrella) Nordeste. He was a Somerset resident for most of his life. Before retiring in 1969, He was the Superintendent of the Somerset Water Dept. for 42 years. He was a member of St. Patrick Church,Somerset, MA.
He is survived by One Son: John C. Nordeste III of Taunton, MA. One Step-son: Robert Souza of Somerset, MA. One Daughter: Susan Orzechowski of Swansea, MA. Four Brothers: Manuel Nordeste of Somerset, MA, Daniel Nordeste of Somerset, MA, Frank Nordeste of Somerset, MA and Edward Nordeste of Somerset, MA. Three Sisters: Anne Wilson of Somerset, MA, Olive Souza of Somerset, MA, and Delores Sousa of Somerset, MA. Grand-father of John C. Nordeste IV of Berkley, Kevin and Kyle Nordeste of GA. Great Grandfather of John C. Nordeste V, Keslie Rose, Kevin, Tyler, Ashley, and Kendra Nordeste all of GA. Many nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Alfred Nordeste and the late Mary Vincent.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main St., Fall River, MA on Monday at 7:45 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick Church, South St., Somerset, MA at 9:00 AM. Internment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset, MA.
