Theresa G. (Boucher) Sylvia, 85, of Dartmouth died Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Oak Hill Healthcare in Middleboro. She was wife of the late Raymond F. Sylvia, they were married for 64 years .
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late George and Florina (LaPlante) Boucher, she had lived in Dartmouth for most of her life. Prior to retirement in 1999, she worked for the former Alberox Corporation for 20 years. She was the owner / operator of Terry's Clam Bar in New Bedford. Mrs. Sylvia was known as the neighborhood mom, she was also an avid traveler and enjoyed dancing and participating in bowling leagues.
Survivors include 2 sons: Dennis R. Sylvia of Dartmouth and Duane R. Sylvia of Middleboro; a daughter: Debra L. Amaral of Dartmouth; 3 brothers: Roland A. Boucher of New Bedford, Donald D. Boucher of Acushnet and Gilbert D. Boucher of Acushnet; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was mother of the late Diane R. Dexter.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the Potter Funeral Home at 2 PM.
Visitation will be Saturday from 12-2 PM prior to the funeral.
Interment will be private.
