Miss Josephine C. Ballato, 91, of Medford, passed away Saturday morning, September 15th, following surgery.
Josephine was born May 28, 1927 in Medford, where she lived all her life. Josephine graduated from Medford High School and Tufts University and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society for academic excellence. At Lincoln Junior High School, Josephine taught for several decades, first as a French teacher and then as a Guidance Counselor. Josephine was the last surviving child of Grace and Francisco Ballato, and sister of Nancy, Mary, Frank and Rose. She is survived by 3 nephews, 1 niece and 6 grand nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit Saturday September 29th at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford from 9 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford at 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.
