Larry William Davy, 74, of Anderson died unexpectedly on September 25, 2018 at Community Hospital.
He was born October 5, 1943 in Niles, MI, the son of William Davy and Lorna (Hibner) Hazard.
He was a high school math teacher for 34 years before retiring in 2000. He attended Park Place Church of God and was a football coach.
Larry is survived by his wife of 37 years, Loretta (Davidson) Davy of Anderson, whom he married February 2, 1981 in Las Vegas, Nevada; his mother, Lorna (Hibner) Hazard, four children, Brooke Talley, Jonathon (Kristin) Davy and Mark Davy all of Anderson and Kyle (Jonni) Davy of Pendleton; brother, William (Deanna) Hazard of Surprise, AZ; sister, Lorraine Bolley of Sturgis, MI; eight grandchildren, Jayce, Linkin, Reagan, Grayson Talley, Hayden, Shawn Davy, Levi and Matthew Davy; two brothers-in-law, Lowell (Alice) Davidson of Noblesville and Herman (Robin Davidson of Martinsville, Illinois and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Davy, stepfather, LaVern Hazard, sister, Beverly Moore and brother-in-law, Richard Bolley.
Services will be 2 p.m. on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Park Place Church of God with Dr. David Markle officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be given to Park Place Church of God or Park Place Food Pantry.
