Teresa Elizabeth (Gillotte) “Terry” Ehrgott, - age 98, a lifetime resident of Winchester, passed away on September 21, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis P. Ehrgott.
Terry was born and raised in Winchester and attended Winchester Public Schools. She graduated from Winchester High School with the class of 1937. Teresa married her husband Frank and they bought their home on Cedar St. in Winchester and raised their 5 beautiful children there. Teresa began her job in 1966 as a Winchester crossing guard for 31 years, where she made lifelong friendships with the children she kept safe. As soon as the school year ended, Terry would leave with her children for Salt Air Village in Dennisport, Cape Cod. She would stay in their summer home, enjoying family and friends, which meant the world to her.
In her spare time, she also enjoyed playing bingo and taking the bus ride to Foxwoods Casino with the Jenks Center. She was a loyal Red Sox fan.

Terry was predeceased by a daughter, Frances E. Walker, and is lovingly survived by her children: Edward R. Ehrgott and his wife Denise of East Kingston, NH, Cynthia A. Tapply of Concord, Barbara Burke and Les Herzog of Winchester, David W. Ehrgott and his wife Darlene of Winchester. She was the dear sister of the late Angela Manie, Catherine Puma, Anthony Gillotte, and PFC Michael Gillotte, and the devoted grandmother of Shauna , Ashley, Erin & Marc Ehrgott, Kelly Milligan, Landen and Kristina Burke, Melissa, Sarah and Michael Tapply, and was the cherished great-grandmother of 9.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather at Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester, on Thursday, Sept. 27th from 4-7 PM, and again on Friday at 9AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester, at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Teresa Elizabeth Ehrgott’s memory may be made to the Winchester Sports Foundation, P.O. Box 493 Winchester, MA 01890.
