Martin J. LaCreta, 80, of Londonderry, NH, died Thursday September 20, 2018 in Pleasant Valley Nursing Center in Derry, NH. He was born in Boston, MA on April 15, 1938, a son of John and Anna (LaCarbonara) LaCreta. Having been born in Boston, he was raised in Somerville, MA on Packard Ave., Loudon Ave. and Banks St. He was a resident of Londonderry for the past seven years, formerly living in Melrose, MA and Stoneham, MA. Martin loved being in the kitchen and cooking, as well as golfing and swimming. He enjoyed spending time at the condo in Lake Worth, FL where he leaves many friends.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Anna (Dion) Hess of Londonderry; two sons, John S. LaCreta and his wife Cheryl of Townsend, MA, David Martin LaCreta of Merrimack, NH; loving stepfather of David and Chris of Derry, Nancy and Joe of Derry, Maureen and John of Wakefield, MA, and Wayne and Susan of Londonderry; as well as extended Hess family; nine grandchildren, Jacob, Joseph, Megan, Mikayla, Madison, Jared, Samuel, Marissa, and Jackson; five step grandchildren; six step great granddaughters. He was predeceased by his first wife, Joanne (Sadnawey) LaCreta. His brother, Robert F. LaCreta of Somerville, MA just died yesterday.
Calling hours were held on Tuesday, September 25th from 4 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Avenue, Derry. The burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Gilcreast Road, Londonderry.
