Janet L. (Locke) Droukas, age 75 of S. Easton died September 19, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late P. Ronald Droukas for 46 years. The daughter of the late Carl S. and Elinore L. (Cutlip) Locke, Janet was raised in Medford and was a 1960 graduate of Medford High School. After she married she later moved to Brockton where she raised her family. Janet worked as the office manager of Cape Cod Needleworks, a family run business that did embroidery, silk screening and monogramming.
Janet was a devoted mother to her four sons and was very passionate about her grandchildren. She was very witty and loved spending time and laughing with them. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, loved to shop, travel and go to the theatre and especially loved musicals. She was an avid Boston sports fan and loved to watch the Boston Red Sox and NE Patriots. She also loved the holidays and enjoyed decorating and hosting holiday dinners.
Janet is survived by her four sons, Scott Droukas and his wife Valerie of Brookfield, CT, Todd Droukas of Brockton, Eric Droukas and his wife Jennifer of Las Vegas, NV and Brian Droukas and his wife Kristen of Raynham. She also leaves six grandchildren, Niko, Zak, Dianna, Jullia and Alexandra Droukas and Skylar Rabouin, her brother Ronald Locke and his wife Maryann of Raymond, NH, many nieces and nephews and her beloved cat Panda.
Visiting hours will be held at Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123), Brockton on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 8:30-11am with a funeral service starting at 11am. Burial will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Donations may be made in Janet’s name to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St, Waltham, MA 01701.
