Former husband of Barbara K. (Maloney) McGovern of Quincy. Brother of Hugh and his wife Philomena McGovern, Joseph and his wife Patricia McGovern, all of Ireland, Rita McGovern of CA, and the late James, Peter, Thomas McGovern, Evelyn Randles, Rose McGovern, Mary Harvey, and Bridget Lunney. Devoted grandfather of Peter and Marika Hewes, Dana Foley, Lori Pinkham, Alanna McGovern, Rebecca and Robert McGovern, Gabriel Nochnuk, Casey and Garrett Dolaher. Survived by many nieces and nephews.
