Companion of Margaretha Ryan of Brockton and her children, Jesse, Luke, Gretchen and Emma O’Connor. Stepbrother of Deane Joyce of VT; Pamela Kearney of Duxbury; Paula Joyce of NH; and Duane Joyce of Pembroke. Also survived by twelve nieces and nephews.

John P. Kinney died at the Boston Medical Center, Wednesday afternoon as a result of a work related accident on November 22nd. Born in Brockton, he was a son of Orvis Kinney and Claire Kinney Joyce. He was raised in West Bridgewater and graduated from West Bridgewater High School. He has been a carpenter for 28 years. Member of the Local 624 Carpenters Union where he was steward on the job site of the construction of the new Bridgewater/ Raynham Regional High School. He was an avid fisherman, handyman, Red Sox fan and a proud American.
