Julian Francis Nosel, 94, of Worcester died Monday, September 3, 2018 in Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center, West Brookfield, MA. His wife, Helen M. (Modzelewski) Nosel died in 2017. He is survived by two sons, Thomas Nosel and his wife Christine of Ware, MA., and John “Jack” Nosel and his wife Marguerite of Huntington Beach, CA., four grandchildren and a sister Angela LeBlanc. He is predeceased by a son Julian William Nosel and siblings, Joseph and Henry Nosel, Jane Butt and Agnes Tivnan. He was born in Worcester a son of the late Stanley and Sophia (Modzelewska) Nosel.
Mr. Nosel was a 27 year veteran Worcester firefighter retiring as a Lieutenant in 1982. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He enjoyed carpentry. Julian was a member of the VFW - Chester P. Tuttle Post in Auburn.
The funeral service is private. Interment will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne along with his wife, Helen. HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL SERVICE 33 Ward St., is assisting the family.
