Janet M. (Luce) Mullarkey, 74, of New Bedford passed away Monday September 17, 2018 at Royal Cape Cod Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Thomas J. Mullarkey.
Born in Newton, the daughter of the late Kenneth A. and Dorothea M. (Fandrey) Luce, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.
Mrs. Mullarkey was formerly employed as a medical records clerk at Tobey Hospital until her retirement.
She is survived by her son Michael D. Hyde and his wife Pamela; and four grandchildren, Hanna Hyde, Haylee Hyde, Megan Hewitt, and James Huggett.
She was predeceased by her brother Jeffrey Luce.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday September 21, 2018 at 9 AM at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday September 20, 2018 from 4-6 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
