Marilyn A. (Holman) (Nickerson) Cote, passed away peacefully on September 17th in the Southwood at Norwell, surrounded by her loved ones. She was the wife of the late Francis V. Cote.
Born and brought up in Leominster, daughter of the late Walter A. and Etta (Newton) Holman and she attended Leominster Schools.
Marilyn worked, as a Head Cashier for the F M Global Insurance Company, formerly Factory Mutual Insurance for over 19 years. She was very active in Scouting, church work and volunteered for many years at the Norwood Caritas Hospital.
She is survived by her children, Trudy Packard, Judy Douillette wife of Richard, Bruce Nickerson husband of Nancy, all of Hampton NH, Paula Baker wife of Larry of Hanover, MA and the late Lynne Vicari wife of Joseph of Salisbury, MA; also her step children, Cheryl Barkhouse of Brockton, William Cote husband of Janet of NH, Nancy Josephs wife of Edmund of Randolph, John Cote of Taunton and the late Robert Cote husband of Maryanne Cote of Whitman, many grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; also several late brothers and sisters.
Her visitation will be held on Friday September 21st from 4:00-8:00PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St (Rte 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday September 22nd at 9:00AM in the Chapel. Interment will follow in the Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton, MA.
