FALL RIVER – Helen M. Gedraitis, age 69 of E. Freetown, passed away on Saturday Sep. 15, 2018. Born in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Albert & Helen (Sabas) Gedraitis of Bridgewater.
Helen was an artist & craftsman. She attended Bridgewater Schools & graduated from UMASS Dartmouth with a Fine Arts degree & Mass College of Art w/ a Master’s degree in Art Education.
She taught in Randolph & Mass College of Art, and recently retired from Bristol Community College, but worked many, many other jobs & professions in her career.
She liked to travel to Russia (USSR), Europe, Mexico, etc. She enjoyed life including her art, friends, relatives, nature, traveling, and especially her Lithuanian Heritage.
Helen was the sister of Joe Gedraitis (wife Jane) of The Villages in FL, Bill Gedraitis (wife Nancy) of Middleboro, Bob Gedraitis of Effingham, NH, & John Gedraitis of Bridgewater. She had many nephews & nieces, grandnephews & grandnieces, cousins, & friends.
Per Helen’s wishes, there will be no funeral services at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring of 2019. Arrangements are under the direction of the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main ST. Fall River, MA.
