Curtis M. Anderson, 57, of Whitman, Massachusetts passed suddenly on September 13, 2018. He was born in Stoughton on October 16, 1960, eldest son of Olive J. Heatley of Bridgewater and the late Paul Curtis Anderson.
Curtis graduated from Whitman Hanson Regional High School in 1978, and was a lifelong painter and carpenter.
Curt was an avid hunter & fisherman. His love for the outdoors was instilled early in his life from his late father and his Uncle Dick. He shared his knowledge on a regular basis with his son, brothers, and nephews and almost anyone else who would listen.
In addition to his mother Olive, he is survived by his beloved children, Stephen Curtis Anderson, and his fiancé, Kendra Grant of Abington, Melissa Anderson and her boyfriend, Michael O’Shea, of Plympton, and Christopher Anderson of Whitman. Along with his children, he was proud Grumpa to Amanda “Bub” Crowley, as well as his siblings and their mates; sister Karen Anderson and Mikeal Benoit of Middleboro, brothers Richard Anderson, and John and his wife Kerri Anderson of Whitman, Tim Turnbull of Clinton, and his youngest sister, Kim Borgatti and her husband Lee of Plymouth, and dozens of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and many cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of his life at 7:00 PM on Thursday September 20, 2018 in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Route 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 5-7 PM.
