Obituary

Laurie Ann Chiacchia, 60, passed away on September 14, 2018 after a difficult battle with cancer with her loving family at her side. She was the loving daughter of the late Richard F. Chiacchia and aunt of the late John Rocco Franciose, Jr.

Laurie was born in Framingham, MA and moved to Natick, MA when she was a young preteen. She spent her whole life tirelessly “giving” to others. The word “Angel” isn’t strong enough to describe how unselfish and loving she really was. Her beautiful and kind spirit radiated light and she was and will always be a brilliant star. Always being the first person in line to help someone in need, Laurie never asked for anything in return. She helped so many people along the way. Her beautiful smile, infectious laugh and her wonderful sense of humor brought such a warm presence everywhere she was. She was an extraordinary and talented manicurist and worked for Phillip DePalma for years, and excelled at her craft. She was an amazing cook and baker and loved to travel to Aruba every year with her beloved Warren. The two spoke about moving there one day. They loved the island and had made many friends over the last 30 years of traveling there. Laurie will be always be remembered as being a sweet, caring and magnificent person whose greatest passion included her family and Warren, and helping others. She was an “angel on Earth” and will continue in Heaven. We have truly lost one of the best.

Laurie is survived by her life partner and soulmate, Warren P. Donnelly of Framingham, her mother Lorraine Chiacchia of Natick, her six siblings: Patrick Chiacchia of Milford, Thomas Chiacchia and his wife Donna of Whitinsville, Linda Balboni and her husband Robert of Franklin, Pamela Chiacchia and partner Robert Sullivan of Mansfield, Paula Franciose of Natick and Marcia Marinelli of Bellingham. She also leaves behind her treasured nephews and nieces: including her Godson, Tiler Balboni of Framingham, Briana Balboni of Canton, Olivia Chiacchia of Milford, Dante Chiacchia of Milford and Timari Marinelli of Franklin.

At Laurie’s request “A Celebration of Life” gathering will be held at a future date with her family and closest friends.

Donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
