Raymond H. Martin. Age 89. Husband of Margaret (Moniz) Martin with whom he celebrated his 59th Wedding Anniversary on Nov. 30, 2005. Residence 140 Essex St., Fall River, MA. Died Wednesday at St. Anne’s Hospital. Born in Fall River, MA. Son of the late Hormidas Martin and the late Georgianna (Parent) Martin. He was a life long resident of Fall River. Before retiring, he worked as a Custodian for the Fall River School Department for over 20 years. He was an avid Amateur Radio Operator. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II who was a Signal Corp Teacher with rank of T/SGT.
Besides his wife of Fall River, he is survived by One Daughter: Helen Louise Costa of Fall River, MA. One Grand-daughter: Dawn Martin. Uncle of Margaret La Fleur and Several nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Germaine Olsen, Jeannette Fauteaux and Bertha Martin.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Saturday at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church, Essex St. at 10 A.M. Internment in St. Patrick Cemetery.
