Vivian A. (Downing) McGall
Manchester– Vivian A. (Downing) McGall, 88, died September 12, 2018 at Villa Crest Retirement Center following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Exeter on July 25, 1930 the daughter of Archie and Evelyn (Jones) Downing.
She was a graduate of Raymond High School, class of 1948.
Prior to her retirement she was a Food Service Supervisor for Rockingham Nursing Home.
Her hobbies include politics, travelling and was an avid reader, she especially enjoyed reading the newspaper.
She loved spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harry McFarland Jr., her son, Harry McFarland III, and her three brothers, James Downing, Phillip Downing, and William Downing.
Family members include her daughter, Victoria (McFarland) Chamberlain of Manchester, one granddaughter, Danielle McFarland Valley and her husband Michael of North Carolina, four great grandchildren, Samantha, Kristopher, Cynthia, Jonah, and brothers and sisters, Stuart Downing of Raymond, Lorraine Bellmore of Derry, Gail Parenteau of Barrington, Claire McIntosh, Joseph Downing, both of Raymond, and Paula Landry of Salem.
A memorial reception will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 12 pm to 2 pm at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St. A service of remembrance will take place at 1:30 pm during the reception.
Burial will be at a later date in New Pine Grove Cemetery in Raymond.
