Patricia "Pat" Ann Pitts Hendricks, 78, of Tifton passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2018, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Joseph Carter and the Rev. Jill Willingham officiating. Mrs. Hendricks’ son, Stephen C. Hendricks III will give a eulogy. Mrs. Hendricks will be laid to rest at Mount Calvary United Methodist Church in Tifton. The family will receive friends Monday, September 17, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Billy Wayne Franklin Sr., Billy Wayne Franklin Jr., Will Franklin, Buddy Franklin, Keith Hendricks, Freddie Harris and Randy Luke will serve as pallbearers.
Born May 19, 1940 in Tift County, Mrs. Hendricks was the daughter of the late Jake W. Pitts and Allie Nolan Pitts. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Stephen “Claude” Hendricks, Jr.; three brothers, William Pitts, Buddy Pitts and Billy Joe Pitts; and one sister, Videria Luke. Before retiring, she was employed with Diversified Enterprises and was a member of Mount Calvary United Methodist Church in Tifton.
Mrs. Hendricks is survived by her son, Stephen C. Hendricks III of Tifton; one brother, James Troy “J. T.” Pitts of Tifton; and three sisters, Opal Hines and Betty Harris, both of Tifton and Jeanette Franklin of Lenox.
