Obituary

BROWNFIELD, ME: Anne P. (Doyle) Hartley, 66, of Brownfield, ME and formerly of Framingham and Dublin, Ireland died on Monday, September 10th in Framingham surrounded by her loving family after a long, courageous battle with an illness.

Anne was the beloved wife of Robert Hartley, sharing 32 years of marriage.

Born in Dublin, Ireland, Anne was the daughter of Stephen and Mary Doyle. She immigrated to the United States in 1957 to Springfield, MA and ultimately settling in the Framingham/Natick area in 1986.

In addition to her loving husband, Anne is survived by: her sons: Robert Hartley III and his wife Kelli of Newburyport, MA, and Jeffrey Hartley and his wife Jennifer of Framingham; her mother: Mary Doyle; her grandchildren: Ava and Ella Hartley; her sisters: Marian Cocchi, Joan Phelan, Deirdre Doyle, Margaret Rush and her husband William, Noreen Chicoine; her brother: Christopher Doyle and wife Doreen; her brother in law: James and his wife Janet and her sister in law, Jude Hartley; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her father, Stephen Doyle and brother Noel Doyle.

Anne attended grammar through high school at Sacred Heart School in Springfield, MA, where she graduated from. She furthered her education at Holyoke Community College. She earned her Master’s Degree from Framingham State University. She worked for the State of Massachusetts for over thirty-eight years, retiring in 2012, from the office of appeals for DEP. Following retirement, Anne and Bob split their time between their homes in Arizona and Maine.

Anne enjoyed traveling, animals, time spent in Maine and Arizona and most importantly, time with family.

Anne’s family would like to acknowledge her daughter in law, Jennifer Hartley, whom gave exemplary care and compassion to Anne in her final days.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral on Tuesday, September 18th at 9:00 A.M. from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, at Natick Common, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Patrick’s Church at 10:00 A.M., 44 East Central Street, Natick, MA 01760. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham, MA.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 17th from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, Natick, MA 01760.
