Ann E. Nolan, 80

Dateline: Attleboro, MA

Ann E. Nolan, age 80, of Attleboro, formerly of Mansfield and New York passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.

Born in Boston, MA on July 27, 1938, she was a loving daughter of the late John and Esther (Ashport) Nolan.

Ann grew up in South Boston. She was educated at St Mary’s Grammar School and was a graduate of Dorchester High School. She later moved to New York where she resided for over forty years. She had made her home in Attleboro for the past three years and previously lived in Mansfield.

Prior to retiring, Ann had worked in the offices as a secretary for Eastman Kodak Camera in New York. She had formerly been employed as a waitress in New York as well.

A communicant of St Mary’s Church in Mansfield, Ann had an amazing knack for cooking and baking, a talent she shared with her niece, Elaine Floman of Mansfield. She also enjoyed teaching and passing on her knowledge of cooking to her niece Amelia, and spending time with her nephews Evan and Thomas.

She was the dear sister of Edward Nolan of Milford, New Hampshire, Catherine Brackett of Milwaukie, Wisconsin, Lillian McKenna of Quincy, and the late John “Jackie” Nolan, George Nolan, Dorothy Turner, Helen Blakeney, Rita Nolan and Mary Mortensen. She is also survived by several generations of loving nieces and nephews.

Her funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Monday, September 17th at 11:00 A.M. in St Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow at St Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, September 16th from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
