Joseph Donald Clark, known to friends as “Joey,” passed away on September 9, 2018 at the age of 34. Born December 5, 1983 in Brockton, Joey was a skilled electrician and general construction foreman. He died suddenly of a heart attack related to a genetic heart condition.
Joey was a hard worker who had a love for building and problem solving. He spent much of his life working with, and around family, including his father Don Clark, and his cousin Nick Blosz. He was employed by Torrey & Associates.
Joey was known for his big heart and sense of humor. He always recognized the goodness in people, and enjoyed making others laugh. He loved spending time in nature, especially the ocean, and tending to his animals.
Joey is survived by his fiancé Stephanie Norman of Rockland, his father Donald Clark and partner Robin Murray of Bridgewater, his mother Joanne DeMulis and husband Dave of Brockton, his older sister Sherri Lincoln and husband John of Whitefield, NH, his younger sister Jacqui Martell and husband John of Pembroke, his step-brothers David, Jason & Joshua DeMulis, and his grandmothers Caroline Clark of Brockton and Joanne Pyne of Wareham. He is predeceased by his grandfathers Warren Pyne and Joseph Clark, his uncle Russ Clark, and cousin Olivia “Lulu” Pyne.
He was also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces: Jeanne & Herb Rollins, Debbie & Richard Blosz, Warren & Gretchen Pyne, Nancy Clark & Kathy Gray, Melanie & Brian Horsman, Tina Williams, Samantha Rollins, Stephanie Dennehy, Dylan & Andrew Pyne, Nick Blosz, Nicole, Sarah & Emily Horsman, and Haley, Katelyn & Jessica Lincoln.
Visiting hours will be held at Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St.(rte. 123) Brockton on Thursday 4-7:30 pm. A funeral service will be held Friday at Christ Congregational Church 1350 Pleasant St. Brockton at 10 am. Rev. Patricia Hayes will officiate. Burial to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Joey's name to The American Heart Association 20 Speen St. Framingham, MA 02701 .
