Mal had three passions in his life. First, was his family. Family was everything to him. He was a devoted husband and a loving father and adored and enjoyed his grand child Jake. He believed his most important role was supporting his family and providing security. He did that flawlessly. Second, was his work. Mal owned a jewelry business in Wakefield. He loved working in the store and talking and servicing his customers. He was also a watchmaker and gemologist and when he was not in the store he was at his bench fixing watches or creating beautiful jewelry. Lastly he was a vehement Zionist He loved Israel and supported the migration of Ethiopian Jews to the country. Mal in his early life like to travel but his favorite trip was to Israel. Mal loved to garden and grow vegetables. Every year he planted a garden and he even had one last year. He was proud that Brooksby two years in a row gave him a ribbon for best garden. He was an avid Boston sports fan. He enjoyed watching the Celtics and the patriots with his family. Most of all Mal was a kind good man and his family loved him and always will.
