James (Jimmy) Quandt, 53 of Ventura, CA passed away recently in Carpinteria, CA. Jimmy was born September 5, 1965 in Los Angeles, CA to Harold and Alice Quandt . He attended St. Genevieve High School in Reseda, CA and graduated in 1983. Jimmy enjoyed building, hiking, fishing and helping others in any way he could. For many years, Jimmy was involved in Christian Mission work in Baja California where he helped build schools for disabled children and orphans. He was always the first person ready to help anyone, anywhere, any way he was able. Jimmy is survived by his children: James, Jackson and Grace Quandt of Ventura, CA. Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the San Buenaventura Mission, 211 Main St., Ventura on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at noon. Arrangements are under the care of Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 757 E. Main St., Ventura.
