Josephine "Jo" DiFilippo, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the age of 101 . She was born in Providence, and was predeceased by her husband, Michael DiFilippo. She was the daughter of Vincenzo and Maria (Pellegrino) Martino. Josephine worked many years in the jewelry business for both Progress Jewelry and Bulova Watch Company. She lived in Providence and Johnston most of her life, then relocated to Bonita Springs, Florida in 2002, and spent the last 18 months in Huntington Beach, California.
She is survived by her three children, Victoria Daniels of Bonita Springs, Florida, Carol Hart of Johnston, and Michael DiFilippo and his wife, Nancy, of Huntington Beach, California; six grandchildren, Karin Daniels, Lynn Thomas, Michelle Bellagamba, Kevin Hart, Jennifer DiFilippo and Stacey Beck; nine great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Anthony Martino and sister, Florence Deming (John), many nieces and nephews, and her brother in law, Louis DeFilippo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 29th at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Please omit flowers.
