Kevin P. Morrissey of Charlestown, RI died peacefully at home on September 7, 2018 after a lengthy illness. Kevin was a graduate of Smithfield High School and attended RI College. He was an avid reader, music lover and passionate fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. Born to Joseph and Virginia Morrissey of Charlestown, RI, he was the oldest of seven children. He is survived by his twin brother Joseph Morrissey, Jr. and his wife, Susan of Smithfield, Kerry Morrissey of Manville, Brian Morrissey and his wife, Mary-Ellen of Mansfield, Catherine Bodell and her husband, Joseph of Wakefield and Carolyn Greer and her husband, Christopher of Groton. He was the brother of the late Ellen Morrissey. He will be dearly missed by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday at 10am in St Michael’s Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield, RI 02917. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation, 20 Hemingway Drive, Riverside, RI 02915.
