LACONIA-----Thomas “Tom” L. DiFonzo, 49, of Elm Street, passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack.
Tom was born on November 2, 1968 in Boston, Massachusetts the son of Charles A. and Margaret C. (Metrano) DiFonzo. He has lived in the Lakes Region for the past twenty years.
Tom was a golf course superintendent for the Laconia Country Club. He was a member for thirty years of the Golf Course Superintendents of America and the New Hampshire Golf Course Superintendents Association for twenty years.
Tom was a communicant of the St. Andre Bessette Parish, Laconia.
Survivors include, three daughters, Emily M. DiFonzo, Anna L. DiFonzo, and Grace C. DiFonzo, all of, Auburn; his father, Charles A. DiFonzo, of Bedford; two brothers, Charles A. DiFonzo Jr., of Lynn MA and Paul F. DiFonzo, of Medway MA; a sister, Margaret A. Collins, of Tyngsboro, MA; three nieces and two nephews. He is predeceased by his mother, Margaret C. DiFonzo.
Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 5:00pm – 8:00pm at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia NH using the Carriage House entrance.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 10:00am at the St. Andre Bessette Parish- Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia NH.
Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia NH.
