Robert S. Bach, 67

Dateline: Attleboro, MA

Robert S. “Chip” Bach, age 67, of Attleboro, formerly of Foxboro passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Seasons Hospice Inpatient Center in Milton. He was the longtime partner of Lois DeCoste of Attleboro.

Born in Boston, MA on February 22, 1951, he was a loving son of the late John and Mary (Keefe) Bach.

Chip grew up in Lexington and was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School. He continued his education, graduating from Suffolk University and received his Master’s Degree from Bentley College.

Mr. Bach was the founder and proud owner of the Advanced Water Treatment Co. in Foxboro, a business he successfully operated for over thirty years, prior to retiring two years ago.

Chip loved spending time with his adoring family and friends alike. He was a member of the Attleboro Lodge of Elks, his hobbies included golfing, sailing and dancing the west coast swing.

In addition to his partner Lois, he is survived by his devoted children Siobhan Bach and her partner Anthony Alario of Chichester, NH and Stephen E. Bach of Stoughton. He was the cherished grandfather of Connor Alario, Teo Alario and Silas Alario. He was the dear brother of Deborah Lafrance of Marlboro and uncle of Richard Bentley of Billerica. He is also survived by his former wife Nancy Bliss Bach of Foxboro.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a service in celebration of his life on Saturday, September 15th at 5:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield. Burial will be private.

Visiting hours will be held prior to the services on Saturday from 2:00-5:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
