Carol A. McClellan, an 18 year resident of Glen, New Hampshire and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston. She was 72 years of age.
Carol was born in Boston on December 19, 1945, a daughter of the late Frank H. McClellan and Catherine T. (McLaughlin) McClellan. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1963. She also furthered her education and received her Associates Degree. Carol worked as an Office Manager for Mintz, Levin Law Firm in Boston from 1978 to 1987 and then as a Legal Administrator for Laurence, Peters Co. in Boston from 1988 to 1999. She enjoyed traveling to New Hampshire and Naples, Florida and also enjoyed golfing, playing bocce and sitting poolside reading a book. She is a member of The Old Charlestown Schoolgirls Association.
Carol is the devoted sister of William McClellan and his wife Eileen and Claire Hitchman and her husband retired Boston Firefighter Arthur. She is the loving aunt to Jill Leeman, David Hitchman, Arthur Hitchman, Billy McClellan, Eileen Belastock, Susan Flaherty and her many grandnieces and grandnephews. She is also survived by her longtime loving friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Carol's Funeral on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 10 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 11 A.M. Her burial will be private. Her visiting hours will be on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
