In Taunton, September 7, 2018 Marita Murphy daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Fair) Murphy died at Taunton Nursing Home at the age of 88. Marita was born in Boston and was educated at St Mary’s High School in Taunton and received her Bachelor’s Degree and Masters degree in Religious Education at Fordham University. Marita was a Holy Union Sister for twenty five years. She taught in the Taunton Public Schools for over four years and also worked for Shaw’s Supermarket in Taunton for many years. She was the sister of the late Thomas Murphy, Arthur Murphy, Sister Rosemarie Murphy and Sister Mary Elizabeth Murphy. Marita was the Aunt of two nieces, two nephews and two late nephews. A service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home 70 Washington Street in Taunton Tuesday, September 11th at 11 am. Calling hours will be from 10 am to 11 am. Tuesday morning.
