DOVER-----Janet (Wheeler) Reister, age 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday August 30, 2018 in Dover, New Hampshire.
Janet was born on May 4, 1935 in Laconia, New Hampshire to the late Everett “Bill” Wheeler and Candace (Page) Wheeler. Janet graduated from Laconia High School in 1953. Janet moved to Pearl River, New York with her family in 1968 where she and her husband Barry raised their family. After her retirement from her bookkeeper position with the Pearl River Public Schools she and Barry moved to Sebring, Florida. After the death of her husband in 2017, she returned to her beloved home state of New Hampshire.
Survivors include her children; Tammy Reister of Nanuet, New York, Candace MacLean (Keith) of Amesbury, Massachusetts, Christopher Reister (Kirsten) of Walkill, New York; grandchildren, Alexis Reister, Connor MacLean, Madison MacLean; great grandchildren, Kiley Oliver and Kali Oliver. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Barry Reister, and a sister Saralee Wheeler.
There will be no calling hours.
A private graveside service for both Janet and her late husband Barry will take place at Union Cemetery, Laconia, New Hampshire on September 29, 2018 at 11:00am.
