BIDDEFORD- John Randolph Osborne Jr., 78, of Biddeford, Maine, died on September 5, 2018 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, Maine.
He was born in Middletown, NY on July 31, 1940, the son of John Randolph and Kathleen (McGuinness) Osborne.
His family moved to Houlton, ME in 1950 where he received his education and discovered his love of electronics and music. He began his professional career there working as an engineer at a local radio station.
John moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana, in the early 1960s to pursue an education in electronics. He also met Beulah Walker, whom he married on December 1, 1966 and they settled in Elkhart to start a family. While there, John was employed as an engineer at a TV station and various companies installing intercom systems.
John and his family moved back to Maine in 1977 to care for his mother and brother. He spent the majority of his adult life as an active member and business owner in Winthrop, ME. He was the owner of Winthrop Electronics, member and officer of the Maine Electronics Association for many years and was a licensed amateur radio operator. He enjoyed classic country music and 50s rock and roll. He always enjoyed a good laugh and was fond of old radio and television comedy skits.
He is survived by his loving wife Beulah and his two sons David Osborne and wife Wendy, William Osborne and wife Anna.
