Haverhill, MA- Mary Domecilia (Fudala) Carlson, 94, died September 4, 2018.
She was born on February 16, 1924 in Manchester, NH to Leon and MaryAnna (Pawlik) Fudala. Her mother sadly passed away during Mary’s birth. Her parents were both born in Galicy, Poland and came to America in the early 1900’s. She was raised on a farm with her family in Manchester, NH and moved to Boston in her 20’s to realize her dream of living in the city and she worked in the jewelry industry in Boston for many years.
She married Carl Carlson in 1964 and moved with him to Winchester, MA where they lived for years and then they retired in Arlington, MA. They enjoyed many years of international travel and especially loved their trips to Europe.
Mary was an avid tennis player, loved bowling, and she won several trophies as a participant of a bowling league. She enjoyed her large doll collection and the home she made with her husband Carl, who passed away in 2014.
She was also predeceased by her 3 brothers Henry, Albin and Chester.
Mary is survived by her stepson, Stephen Carlson and his longtime life partner Ellen Willard and their daughters, Tayla Carlson and Courtney Willard, and by stepson, David Carlson his wife Julie and their son Daniel.
Mary will be buried in a family plot with her mother at St. Hedwig Cemetery in Bedford, NH.
At Mary’s specific request there will be no services.
