Obituary

Mary A. (Bailey) Londino, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Artis Senior Living in Reading. She was 83 years of age.

Mary was born in Boston on May 13, 1935, a daughter of the late Harold O. Bailey and Doris R. (Beeden) Bailey. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School. Mary worked for 35 years as an Administrative Assistant for the United States Customs Agency in the Charlestown Naval Shipyard before moving to downtown Boston. She enjoyed swimming and was a member of The Old Charlestown Schoolgirls Association.

Mary is the beloved wife of the late Bernard A. Londino. She is the devoted mother of Bernard F. Londino, Bruce W. Londino and his wife Mary Ann and Brian S. Londino. She is the loving Nana to Cory, Christopher, David, Adam, Nadine, Corey, Kasey, Jason, Jamie, Jason, Amanda, Nicole, Cassandra and her great-grandchildren Luke, Logan, Emerson, Audrey, Cameron, Mikayla and Michael. She is the beloved sister of George Bailey, Henry Bailey, Frederick Bailey, John Bailey, Robert Bailey, and the late Doris Chowning, Grace Hodnett, Eleanor LeBlanc and Harold Bailey. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mary's Funeral on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Service in St. John's Episcopal Church, 27 Devens St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Her burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Her visiting hours will be on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
