Orianna Naranjo, of Salem, 90, died Tuesday, September 4, 2018 peacefully at her residence. Known to many of her close friends and family as "Ori".
She was daughter of the late Orion Graves Richards and Florence Mildred (Burnett) Richards, wife of the late Henry Naranjo and sister of the late Margaret Richards.
She was a resident of Belmont and Natick most of her life before moving to Salem 16 years ago.
She had a love of many things in life, animals, gardening and playing cards especially Bridge. Orianna kept an active social life by maintaining longtime friendships going back to her childhood. She was devoted to spending time with her family and her grandchildren. Orianna had a great sense for the finer things in life.
Orianna is survived by her son Bob H. Naranjo and his wife Karen of Mendon, her daughters Debbie A. Coviello and her husband Mark of Millis, Carol Naranjo and her wife Sandy Martin of Salem, her grandchildren Hannah M. Naranjo of Cambridge, R. Benjamin Naranjo of So. Boston, David M. Coviello and wife Lacy of Salem, Sarah A. Battistelli and her husband Alan of Beverly. She is also survived by her sister Nancy Coyle and her husband Fran of Marstons Mills, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral on Saturday September 8, at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel of John Everett and Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street, at Natick Common. Visiting hours will be held Friday evening 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
