Anthony M. Almeida, age 35, of Norton passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, as the result of an automobile accident in Marshfield.
Born in Brockton, MA on August 4, 1983, he was a loving son of M Kent Proctor of Norton and the late Maryjane Almeida.
Tony grew up in Rockland and Norton and was educated in Norton Schools. He was a skilled craftsman who was employed by the Carpenters Union in Boston, and in his free time would also take on side jobs for those who appreciated his building talents and strong work ethics.
Tony’s focal point in life was his family and he loved being the best a father could be to his treasured son and daughter. When not spending time with family, Tony was sure to be found freshwater fishing, a hobby all will remember him for.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his cherished children Isabella Almeida and Anthony Almeida. He was the dear brother of Gina Almeida of Florida, Sean Almeida of Attleboro, Diana Poirier of Norton, Eileen Costa of Norton and Heather Frattasio of Norton. He is also survived by several loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
His funeral service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Sunday, September 9th at 6:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton. Burial will be private.
Visiting hours will be held prior to the services on Sunday from 3:00-6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
