Evelyn (Matias) Moniz, age 92, of Fall River, passed away on Tuesday September 4, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Jacinto and Idalina (Rodrigues) Matias and wife of the late Alfred P. Moniz. Evelyn was the Vice President of the Holmes Apartment Senior Club, enjoyed dancing, playing bingo, and cards with the other residents at the Landmark Senior Living Community as well as taking trips to the casino.
She is survived by her children; Alfred W. Moniz, Gail St. Martin, Melanie Parlon, Stephanie Littlefield, and Tracy Chapman, 11 grandchildren including Jennifer Martin, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Manuel and Margaret Matias.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River Saturday with extended calling hours from 8:30-9:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
