Magennis, John C. “Papa” of Dedham formerly of Roslindale. September 1, 2018 at 78 years of age after a long battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Mary J. (Kane) Magennis. Devoted father of Colleen Cochrane and her husband Robert of Dedham, Maureen MacNaught of Norton, Kelly Tonole and her husband Richard of Lunenburg, MA, Christine Cochrane and her husband James of Norton, John Magennis Jr. of CA. Loving grandfather of Meghan, Patrick, Mollie, Jameson, Samuel, Jessica, Lillian, Shamus, Colin and Emma. Brother of Ann Haughey of Walpole, James Magennis of Mashpee and Joseph Magennis of FL and the late Margaret Keith. Son of the late Joseph and Annabella (O’Hara) Magennis.
A visitation will be held at St. Mary's Church, Dedham, on Saturday, September 8, from 9-10am followed by a Funeral Mass in the church at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
