Philip S. Park, Jr., 85, of Windham, NH, died Sunday September 2, 2018 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Wilmington, MA on August 19, 1933, a son of the late Philip and Dorothy (Rodden) Park, Sr. He had been a resident of Windham for the past 38 years, formerly living in Londonderry NH, Andover MA, Grafton NH, and Wilmington MA. Phil was a veteran of the US Navy, serving during the Korean War era. He was an Industrial HVAC technician and pipefitter for 35 years. At the end of his career he became the Facilities Manager first for Salem Sportswear and then ProPlayer.
He spent the majority of his childhood living on various farms. He never lost his love of farming, spending countless days helping on his brother’s farm. He also enjoyed helping his children and grandchildren raise dogs, horses, goats, chickens, rabbits and even a turkey at different times over the years.
From barn dances in Bradford, NH as a young man, to line dancing at the Elks, or his Sunday morning “church music," his love of country music and dancing to it can be seen throughout his life.
Phil loved the natural beauty of New England, whether vacationing in Maine, camping, deep sea fishing, biking, golfing during the summer, ice fishing or cross country skiing in the winter, going to one of the many local fairs, or taking a drive to see the foliage in the fall. He loved all four seasons.
Above all, Phil was most proud of and took the greatest joy in his family. Holidays, kids' sporting events, family gatherings, trips to Chauncy Creek, and time spent with family was always his favorite.
He is survived by his wife, Laurette (Picard) Park of Windham; four sons, Donald Park of Salem, NH, Dana Park and his wife Christine of Londonderry, NH, Darryl Park of Manchester, NH, and Douglas Park and his wife Debbie of Derry, NH; ten grandchildren, Melissa Dolloff, Amanda Ferdinando, Jillian Ferdinando, Trevor Park, Chad Park, Jesse Park, Jocelyn Park, Casey Park, Samantha Park, and Zachary Park; three great grandchildren, Mason Dolloff, Audrey Dolloff, and Lucas Peck; his siblings, Ruth Fuss of Evergreen Park, IL, Pauline Park of Phoenix, AZ, Kenneth and Nancy Park of Pittsfield, NH, Lloyd and Patti Park of Sarasota, FL, and Marjorie Belloir of Andover, MA, as well as many nieces and nephews.
