Barbara Joan Crumley Lee, 75, of Enigma passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018, at Cypress Pond Assisted Living in Tifton. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 3, 2018, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Joseph Crumley officiating. Meagan Dean will give the eulogy. Mrs. Lee will be laid to rest at Enigma Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, September 3, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Jack Lee III, Brandon Dean, Adam Simmons, Rick Maluda, Ben Crumley, Mitchell Maluda and Jake Purvis will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Enigma United Methodist Church.
Born October 12, 1942 in Tift County, Mrs. Lee was the daughter of the late Benjamin Hoyt Crumley and Cleo Brady Crumley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Franklin Lee. Before retiring, Mrs. Lee was the Regional Manager for AAI/Foster Grant Company. She was a member of Enigma United Methodist Church, where she led music, taught Sunday school, played piano and sang for many years. She loved flowers and gardening. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. She loved her grandchildren and Friday nights at “Babbie’s” were special.
Mrs. Lee is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jack “Chip” and Cynthia Lee of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Sonya and Van Lindsey of Lenox; one brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Kathy Crumley of Enigma; one sister and brother-in-law, Bobbie and David McDonald of Enigma; and four grandchildren and their spouses, Meagan Lindsey Dean and husband Brandon, Rachel Ann Lindsey, Hannah Lee Simmons and husband Adam and Jack Lee III.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Southwest Georgia Regional Office, 225 East Second Street, Tifton, GA 31794.
