CHICOPEE – Carol C. (Patrie) Rogalski, 89, of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Thursday, August 30, 2018. She passed into Eternal Life at Mount Saint Vincent Care Center in Holyoke surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family and her wonderful caregivers. She was born at home on Grattan Street in Chicopee on May 26, 1929, a beloved daughter of the late Armand and Charlotte A. (Hickory) Patrie. She was raised in Chicopee, graduated from the former Cathedral High School in Springfield and was a lifelong resident of Chicopee. Carol was employed as a Teacher’s Aide for the Chicopee School Department. During her leisure time, she enjoyed bowling and was a member of several of the local bowling leagues. Most of all, she was a wonderful homemaker to her large family and showered them with her love and affection which was returned to her a thousand fold. She was a communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend, John M. Rogalski who was Called Home on February 26, 2013. They were married on November 18, 1950 at Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee and were blessed with over 62 years of happiness together. She leaves her eight loving children, John M. Rogalski, Jr. of Palmer, Kathryn M. Barry of Chicopee, Linda J. Kukowski of Carmichael, CA, Diana M. Rogalski of Chicopee, Stephen M. Rogalski of Southwick, James H. Rogalski of Enfield, CT, Jane T. Rogalski of Chicopee and Maryann C. Struck of Chicopee; her 15 cherished grandchildren; her many cherished great-grandchildren; her two dear brothers, David Patrie and his wife, Betty, of Chicopee and James Patrie of Colorado; her dear sister, Janice Demers of Chicopee; her two dear sisters-in-law, Mary Patrie and Dori Patrie; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the Rogalski and Patrie families. Besides her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her dear brothers, Gerald, Robert and Thomas Patrie; her dear sister, Jacqueline Willemain; her loving daughter-in-law, Patricia A. Rogalski; and her loving son-in-law, Dale A. Struck. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday morning, September 5, 2018 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020 (funeral home will open at 9 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her burial will follow the Mass at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
