In Taunton, Joan (Wood) Brady, Age 78, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side following a lengthy illness. Joan was the loving wife of the late Robert J. Brady for 56 years. She was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late James & Evelyn (Sears) Wood. Joan was a lifetime resident of Taunton. She worked at the former Dunnington’s Pharmacy before spending nearly 40 years in the insurance industry. She was a past member of the former Sacred Heart Churches Women’s Guild, a lector and Eucharistic minister. Joan enjoyed reading and traveling with her husband and love of her life. She traveled to many countries in Europe and to Ireland more than fifteen times. Joan is survived by her siblings, Mary Lou Desrosiers of Taunton and Carlton Wood of Avon. She also leaves all her devoted and loving nieces and nephews. Funeral home visiting hours will be prior to her mass from 8:30-10am. on Tuesday, September 4th at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral
