BUXTON- Kathleen Ann Smart, 67 passed away August 29, 2018 after courageously battling pancreatic cancer for nearly 6 years. Even when Kathi was feeling her worst, she still resumed her upbeat personality and kept a smile on her face.
She was born August 4, 1951 to parents James and Miriam Pitcher of Boothbay Harbor.
She attended Boothbay Region High School and later moved to Buxton to raise her family. After being a stay at home mom for many years, she worked at Toddle-Inn Day Care for approximately 12 years, before retiring. She was a great animal lover, who always had wildlife, dogs and cats in her life. Her two cats, P.J. And Oreo, miss her very much. Kathi is predeceased by her long time companion, Tim Waterman, who passed away in 2017. Through the years Kathi and Tim enjoyed many motorcycle rides together including those held for charity events. She is survived by her mother Miriam Pitcher of
Saco; her children Lori Kenyon and her husband Doug of Wells; her son Terrence Smart of Buxton; her
sister Maureen Pitcher of Buxton and four grandchildren.
The burial will be private.
