Obituary

STEEP FALLS – Pamela M. Gill, 74, passed away peacefully at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 after a brief battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
She was born in Portland, Maine on March 14, 1944, the daughter of the late Charles and Thelma (Archambeau) Gill. After graduating from Portland High School, Pam found her true calling in the woodworking profession at Sabre Yachts. She absolutely loved crafting teak handrails, toerails, and milling out various wooden cabinet components. She retired from Sabre in 2009 after a 33 year career.
Camping, reading, working around the house, feeding her birds, going to movies, attending softball games, visiting family, playing cards as well as chicken foot dominoes, going out to dinner with friends, watching football on Sundays, traveling, doing her Sudoku and fill-in puzzles, and spending quiet, peaceful time in her home were just a few of the things she loved to do.
Pam is predeceased by her parents and her sister, Donna. She is survived by her loving partner of 41 years, Janice Corliss of Steep Falls and adored kitties—Simba Sue and Jen Penny; her cousins Rita Snow and Heather Winslow of Gray, Johanne Randall and Allison Gazzelloni of Windham, Denise Randall of New Gloucester; and cousins A.J. “Skip” Gomes, III and Russell Gomes of New Boston, New Hampshire. Pam is also survived by Nancy and Gilman Milliard of Pittsburgh, PA and Connie and Steve Corliss of Clermont, FL.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 8 from 1 – 2 PM, followed by a 2 PM Celebration of Life Service at the Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home in Cornish. Following the service, a graveside burial ceremony will be held at the Steep Falls Cemetery. Online condolence messages can be submitted at www.mainefuneral.com
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Southern Maine, 180 US Rt. 1, Scarborough, Maine 04074 for their support and comfort of Pam in her final days.
