FITZHENRY, Michael "Donald" Retired Dedham Police Sergeant and former Dedham Police Prosecutor, August 30, 2018. Beloved husband of Ruth (DeLaiarro) Fitzhenry. Devoted father of Lee LoPiccolo and her husband Paul of Duxbury, and the late Michael D. Fitzhenry Jr.; Brother of Dorothy Rooney of Dedham, and the late Gilbert, John, Elmer, Francis, and Leo Fitzhenry.
For 30 years he was a member of the Norfolk Golf Club and an avid golfer. He was very proud of his seven hole-in-ones. He was a member of the Army Security Agents during the Korean War. A lifelong resident of Dedham, he was a graduate of Dedham High School, Korean War Veteran, U.S. Army, and member of the Dedham VFW Jacob Jones Post 2017.
Visiting hours at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM, Tuesday, Sept. 4 from 4-8pm. Funeral service in the funeral home Wednesday, Sept. 5 at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
