Obituary

Margaret Kasica Clairmont, age 91, left this world to go home to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Boston to the late Frank and Marion Cioto. A devout Catholic all her life, she attended parochial school for twelve years and graduated from Our Lady of Mount Carmel High School in East Boston in 1946. She was most recently a communicant at St. Patrick’s Church, Wareham.

She was a lifelong worker, starting at the Registry of Motor Vehicles in downtown Boston as a young woman where she worked for sixteen years. In 1959 she married Theodore E. Kasica. Two years later they moved to Brockton and began raising a family. She was widowed in 1976 and became a single mother, supporting her children as a data entry operator and supervisor at the King Size Company where she worked for twenty-five years.

In 1987 she married Frederick W. Clairmont. They retired to West Wareham in 1999 and enjoyed travels to Hawaii, Florida, and Las Vegas. Frederick predeceased her in January 2018.

Marge was known as an avid bingo player in the Brockton and West Wareham bingo halls and often won big. She was kind and generous, and a fabulous cook, especially known for her meatballs. Marge loved everyone, and anyone who had the good fortune to know her experienced her limitless love and hugs. She will be greatly missed and remembered.

She is survived by her daughter Marianne Sciucco and her husband Lou of Middletown, NY; sons Victor Kasica of Berkley, Jeffrey Kasica of Braintree, and Kenneth Kasica and his partner Meg Labate of Carver; granddaughters Allison Sciucco of Middletown, NY, Katerina Kasica of Whitman, Alexa Kasica of Ware, and Victoria Kasica of Ware; niece Linda MacLellan of Brockton; and several nieces, nephews, and good friends.

Visitation will be on Friday, August 31 beginning at 8:30-10:30 am at Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St (Rte 123), Brockton followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Brockton, at 11am. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Marge requested mass cards in lieu of flowers. Memorial donations may be made to South Coast VNA, 200 Mill Rd., Suite 123, Fairhaven, MA 02719.
