Age 78 ~ Of St. Paul’s Monastery
Died at Regions hospital on August 29, 2018. Sister Mary made her final Profession in 1966 and celebrated her Golden Jubilee in 2011. She is preceded in death by her parents Jordan and Doris (Zierath); sister Char; and brother Doug. After her vows in 1966, Sister Mary began a career in education. Her ministry took her to St. Bernard's in St. Paul, Hill-Murray in Maplewood, St. Mary's in Stillwater, and St. Odilia's in Shoreview. Most recently she has served in Monastery Administration providing support as Treasurer. Sister Mary is survived by her nieces and nephews and by her Benedictine Sisters, Oblates and Benedictine Associates who remember her fondly. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday (9/1) 11:00 AM at ST. PAUL'S MONASTERY, 2675 Benet Road, Maplewood. Visitation Friday (8/31) from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM at the Monastery and one hour prior to service on Saturday. Interment Monastery Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Paul's Monastery.
