Robert W. Santos, 67, of Westport died at home, with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, August 29, 2018. He was the husband of June (Medeiros) Santos.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late Sarah Santos, he had lived in New Bedford for most of his life prior to moving to Westport in 2016. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Santos was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and outdoor sportsman, he was also a member of the Paskamansett Beagle Club in Dartmouth.
Including his wife, he is survived by 2 sons: Richard W. Santos and his fiancé Diane Cabral of W. Wareham and Michael W. Santos and his wife Kelly of Dartmouth; a daughter: Melissa M. Santos of New Bedford; a brother: Miguel Reyes of Plymouth; a sister: Nancy Wilson of NJ; an aunt: Genevieve Gray of AK; 8 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was father of the late Robert W. Santos, Jr.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at the Potter Funeral Home at 11:00 AM.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:30 - 11: 00 AM prior to the funeral.
Interment will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
