John A. ‘Jay’ Lindroos, 59, passed away unexpectedly on August 24, 2018 at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge after being stricken in his home.
He leaves his wife of 26 years, Edith ‘DeDee’ (James) Lindroos, 2 sisters; Kathy Brandenburg and her husband Richard of Inverness, Florida and Dianne Morton and her husband Steve of West Greenwich, Rhode Island,
a niece, Stephanie Lindroos of Thornton, New Hampshire, a nephew, Brett James of Oakdale, CT. and 2 grand nephews; Ethan and Kim McDonald.
Jay was born October 23, 1958 in Warwick, Rhode Island, son of the late John S. and Lempi S. (Kiviranta) Lindroos and lived in Uncasville, Ct. for many years prior to moving to Charlton 1 year ago.
He served in the U. S. Army from 1977-1979.
Jay worked for the Casino Gaming Commission of Massachusetts as a senior supervising gaming agent for 3 years, prior to that he worked at Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun in surveillance and security.
He helped many police departments with surveillance, which he enjoyed.
Among his hobbies and interests were; NASCAR, Drag Racing and motorcycles and being at the shooting range.
There are no calling hours.
Funeral Services will be private at a later date, as per his wishes.
