ANDOVER: Gertrude M. (Paglieroni) Gentile, age 90, a former longtime resident of Lowell, recently of Andover, passed away at home in the care of her family and hospice on Sunday, August 26, 2018.
She was the beloved wife of Louis J. Gentile, who passed away on April 26, 1972.
Born in Lowell on September 18, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Gertrude (Harnden) Paglieroni.
Gert was raised in Lowell, and attended Lowell High School.
She resided in Lowell for most of her life until moving to Andover in 2012.
Prior to her retirement, she worked as a Coordinator for the Vicor Company.
She enjoyed family gatherings, and traveling to Disney World with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by two children, Steven E. Gentile, and Bonnie Gentile Sawyer and her husband George all of Andover; two grandchildren, Delanie and Cole Sawyer both of Andover; one brother, Joseph Paglieroni and his wife Avis of Sacramento, CA; also several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Thursday, Aug. 30, from 6-8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Her funeral procession will begin on Friday, Aug. 31 at 9 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 198 Haggets Pond Rd., Andover. Interment at St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
